Review: Greens Your Colour Water Bottle

With a highly active lifestyle, I carry my water bottle everywhere and depend on it keep my energy levels high throughout the day and to stay well hydrated. Sometimes I can be out for hours, moving from one activity to another and so I need a water bottle that can meet multiple requirements! It has to be light enough even when filled up to carry around all day, it has to keep my water cold, and its important to me that it’s environmentally friendly, and health conscious (no plastic).

Although plastic water bottles are by far the lightest and most portable, I refuse to use them because chemicals can leech into the water if the bottle is exposed to high heat, plus it’s not recyclable and doesn’t keep my water cold. Plus have you ever noticed how terrible water tastes when left in plastic for too long?

So, in the past I have always used glass water bottles. However, they do have several disadvantages, such as the fact that they are really heavy, aren’t allowed in schools, and don’t keep the water cold either. I have tried stainless steel bottles in the past, but found them to get dented easily and to subsequently have the tendency to topple over. I also found the taste of the water to be slightly metallic if left in the bottle for too long.

When the amazing folks at Greens Your Colour sent me their Triple Insulated Water Bottle to test out, I was excited to see if it could hold up to it’s promises. According to their website, Greens Your Colour Bottles are made with food grade stainless steel, are triple insulated, are sweat proof and leak proof, and keep temperates hot for 8+ hours and cold for 36+ hours, plus they come with both a tea and an ice strainer!

Sound too good to be true? I thought so too, abut was excited for my Greens Your Colour Water Bottle to arrive so I could put it to the test! All the bottles are gorgeous and super stylish and I couldn’t wait to see which bottle the Greens Your Colour folks would send me. I was incredible thrilled to open up the 500 ML ‘Muskoka‘ limited edition water bottle which is earthy, natural looking and perfect for cottage country.

I am happy to report that after a month of testing out the Greens Your Colour Water Bottle everywhere, it has easily become my new favourite accessory! I carry it everywhere, it keeps my water ice cold (with ice cubes intact), sits upright easily, is super simple to refill with its wide spout, and is super portable with its carrying handle. Not to mention that it is incredibly stylish and at least six people asked me where I got it! Suffice to say I am a convert and Greens My Colour has become my new brand!
