After hummus, guacamole is my second favourite dip. I love how it tastes both creamy and refreshing at the same time. I like to serve guacamole as part of a salad or a goddess bowl, as a dip for organic tortilla chips, or simply as a spread for toast. Many people worry about how much fat avocados have, but it’s monounsaturated fat, which is the heart-healthy kind.
Monounsaturated fat helps reduce cholesterol and lower triglyceride levels. Furthermore, avocados are incredibly nutrient-dense, which is why they are often referred to as superfoods. They pack tons of fibre, are high in potassium, folate and vitamins K and C. Oh, and they tastes ah-mazing and can be used in so many different ways! Try them in smoothies, salads, dips, chocolate truffles and chocolate pudding.
