WORTH IT? ☕🍰 Qishr Coffee House, Toronto
We’d just finished having dinner with my son in downtown Toronto on a Saturday night and were looking for somewhere to enjoy dessert and keep the conversation going. As we wandered around near Sankofa Square, we stumbled upon Qishr Coffee House. What a fabulous discovery!
Qishr is a Yemeni-inspired coffee house, and the interior is absolutely gorgeous and so unexpected! It’s spacious, sleek and sophisticated, with beautiful curved ceilings and soft golden lighting that give it a glamorous, almost luxury hotel lounge feel, but still manages to be warm and inviting. Such a great atmosphere!
And the dessert selection! 😍 So many delicious-looking options, but we eventually settled on three to share: the pistachio cheesecake, Lotus tiramisu and Kinder Milk Cake.
The pistachio cheesecake was OUTSTANDING!! Definitely my favourite, although the Lotus tiramisu was a very close second. Both were absolutely delicious! The Kinder Milk Cake tasted good too.
We also ordered an Americano and two cortados, and all three coffees were fabulous!
One of the things I really loved about Qishr is that it’s open late. It’s surprisingly hard to find somewhere beautiful to sit down for coffee and dessert late at night, and this place ticks all the boxes. Great location, excellent coffee, delicious desserts and a gorgeous atmosphere. It would be a perfect spot for a date night.
I can’t wait to go back and try a few more of their drool-worthy desserts. There will definitely be a next visit!
