This is a crazy time for all of us, not knowing how our lives will be affected by the COVD-19 outbreak. Our goal is to continue sharing resources to help everyone stay fit and healthy, while practicing social distancing during this unprecedented time.
One of our incredible personal trainers and Pilates instructor, Lynne Jenkins, donated her time and created this 10 minute Pilates core workout that can be done at home – all you need is a mat or thick carpet to lay on. This workout is a quick and simple one, comprising of only five exercises.
If you want a longer and more comprehensive workout, you can start out with some cardiovascular exercise like outdoor walking, hiking, or jogging, using a piece of indoor cardio equipment like a bike, treadmill or elliptical. Aim for 20-40 mins of low or moderate intensity cardiovascular exercise before completing the workout below.
First, warm-up with a few cycles of the Vinyasa Flow. Then complete 10 repetitions of the next five exercises. Repeat the entire sequence of push-ups, breast strokes, modified supermans, roll-ups and criss-cross 1-2 more times. Once you’re done, please comment below and let us know what you thought!
